Cynthia Hoyt is a native Houstonian who worked as an Engineering Designer/ Draftsman in the Petro-Chemical Industry in the Gulf Coast area. After retirement she moved back to Houston and began classes at MFAH’s Glassell Studio School taking Painting and Figurative Drawing. In 2009 her primary interest became Printmaking. She uses traditional and nontraditional printmaking techniques to produce multi layered prints. Her images are architectural and natural forms that relate to her history directly or indirectly.
