Vivian Hordes

Vivian Hordes received her undergraduate and MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with an emphasis on Design and Filmmaking before moving back to Houston. After attending an experimental printmaking workshop, she began an engaged and passionate exploration of traditional and non-traditional printmaking techniques. Her prints have been exhibited at “The New Orleans Triennial: A southern Perspective on Prints”, a solo exhibition at The Museum of Printing History: “Meditations & Inspirations” where she was honored as the “Undiscovered Printmaker of the Year”, Williams Tower Visual Arts Alliance juried exhibitions, and numerous galleries and Houston public art events. She is a founding member of Printmatters and PrintHouston. Her studio is located at Winter Street Studios.
