Kathleen Pittman
The work of Kathleen Baker Pittman focuses on printmaking although it does include painting and drawing with an occasional foray into concrete and clay.
Kathleen Baker Pittman was raised in San Antonio, Texas. She received a MS in Art from Texas A&M Kingsville and a BFA from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Kathleen has exhibited across the US and internationally, including a solo exhibition at the Carver Cultural Center, San Antonio, Texas and a two person exhibit at the Bismarck Gallery, San Antonio, Texas. She has work in the collections of the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlan, Mazatlan, Mexico, the Museum of Printing History, Houston, Texas, the Marriott Corporation, San Anotonio, Texas, Las Palomas de Taos, Taos, New Mexico, the University of Texas, Austin, Texas and Print Australia. She has been an Artist in Residence at the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlan, Mazatlan, Mexico, Glen Rogers Printmaking Studio in Mazatlan, Mexico and a Visiting Artist at Say Sí, San Antonio, Texas.Kathleen has participated in Taking it to the Streets and Stage, panel presentation at Southern Graphic Council, Chicago, Illinois and Texas Presses, panel presentation at the 29th Annual Southern Graphics Council, Austin, Texas. She has also had been published in Confessions of a Printmaker, article in Voices of Art, Vol.7, No.1 February/March 1999. Kathleen is currently teaching art at Kennedy High School in San Antonio, Texas.
